With Jurgen. Every Time.
I started Swift Builders & Contractors to give Christchurch homeowners something rare in the building industry — a single, experienced operator who shows up, communicates clearly, and takes personal responsibility for every job from first quote to final inspection.
With 35+ years of hands-on experience across residential renovations, carpentry, concrete, and structural work, I bring the full picture to every project. As a Licensed Building Practitioner (LBP), I'm legally authorised to carry out and supervise restricted building work in New Zealand — giving you the confidence that your project is in qualified hands. No handoffs, no anonymous crews, no surprises.

"Jurgen was very communicative and quick to reply. The job was completed quickly — only delayed by bad weather — and he finished the job promptly the following day. I was very happy with the result and would definitely hire him again. Highly recommend."
"Very pleased with the work done. We wanted the wardrobe relined, but Jurgen provided an even better, more economical suggestion. We are really pleased."

"Reliable, and obviously takes pride in completing a quality job. Highly recommend this experienced trades person."
"Jurgen did a great job investigating and applying solutions to our thankfully minor problem. He also helped with some plaster work in the lounge which is looking really good. His communication is excellent and the job was completed promptly."
